The vineyards surrounded by woods are dominated by the Etruscan caves and the big centuries-old oak. The medium texture soil of sedimentary origin, particularly rich in fossils of the Pliocene age, is principally characterized by the presence of a sandy component, balance conceding to the varieties grown there intense aromatic qualities, lively pigmentation, minerality and fragrance.

The selection of this wine comes from a vineyard surprisingly rich in fossil shells, a characteristic of the soil that grant a pleasant and original flavor.
Elcione
Elcione gets its name from the centuries-old oak tree that dominates the homonymous Vitalonga vineyard, surrounded by holm oak woods, brushed by the Romea road, favored road for pilgrims directed to Rome, where the soil is characterized by red clays and particularly rich in fossil shells. In the Elcione, Merlot and Cabernet merge together with Sangiovese, showing an Umbrian soul that adds charm and magic to the international flavor of the Bordeaux blend.
