Ficulle and Umbria

FICULLE, at the border of Umbria with Tuscany and Latium, the ancient medieval suburb is characterized by pottery craftsmanship, extra virgin oil production and by great wines, besides for its farm holidays absorbed in a still uncontaminated nature. The suburb, of Etruscan origin, just in the middle between Rome and Florence, dominates the wide underlying valley. The ancient towers and the strategic position let imagine the military role of the ancient time. A territory whose medieval history, together with the one of the near Orvieto, is marked by the disputes of the well known Monaldeschi and Filippeschi Families.

UMBRIA: the green heart of Italy, introduces itself as a multifaceted land, rich of natural and artistic beauties.
